Swiss Alps Escape

Escape into the Swiss Alps! Based in the beautiful town of Interlaken, we spend the next few days exploring the spectacular moutains and valleys of the Bernese Oberland. Highlights include a night at a mountain hut, sampling traditional Swiss food, scenic hikes, paragliding,Lauterbrunnen valley waterfalls,and for all you chocaholics we visit a chocolate-making show!

Price includes all transport and trains, paragliding, most meals meals, guide, accommodation. Alcohol is not included. Good hiking shoes and day pack required and hiking pole.

Day One
Arrival in the land of cheese and chocolate and transfer to Interlaken.
The fun starts straight away as we take a spectacular paragliding flight - fly like a bird over Interlaken and enjoy views of the two turquoise lakes and snow-covered mountains.
In the late afternoon we visit a chocolate show - sampling chocolate is included!
Dinner together.

Day Two
Today we take the train up to Grindelwald, stroll through this quaint mountain town and get the cable car up to where we go for an easy hike. Break for a picnic lunch in front of a mountain panorama. Take a thrilling flying fox ride (optional) before we head back to Grindelwald by cable car, then it is another short cable car ride to start our 2 hour hike to the hut we will be staying in for the night. The cosy hut is nestled in amongst the Alps, with stunning glacial views. It's a special night under an alpine sky!

Day Three
Hike back down to the valley and get the train to the Lauterbrunnen valley via Kleine Scheidegg, where we walk to the Trummelbach waterfalls. After visiting these amazing waterfalls we have afternoon tea and then head back to Interlaken by train.
Time permitting, we might be able squeeze in a spa for those tired muscles (optional)!

Day Four
Today you have two options! Choose from:
-a free morning strolling through Interlaken, enjoying the shops and cafes
OR - take a train up to 3454m to see the glaciers of the Jungfrau. This is a stunning train ride through the mountain.
In the evening we enjoy a typical Swiss dinner together.

Day Five
After breakfast, time to leave! You will however, be rejuvenated by all the mountain air!
