France Bellydance and Yoga Retreat

Try your hand at belly dancing with international artiste and belly dance instructor Eva Green. Relax in a yoga class, treat yourself to a sauna or a dip in the outdoor hot tub, visit the local street market at Bagnere's de Bigorre...This is the perfect retreat for some fun and relaxation.

Thursday: Welcome dinner, a guided tour of the retreat and grounds, a chance to use the outdoor wood-fired hot tubs, the sauna and the massage machine followed by a late session with Eva Green and a film of belly dance styles that we will be learning.

Friday: Starting with Yoga/TaiChi/Pranhayama(Breathing) exercises before breakfast, then a Spiritual Belly Dance Workshop. Midday lunch then an afternoon massage workshop learning Ayurvedic techniques. After a wholesome, delicious dinner prepared from locally grown produce, you can take the evening off to chill out in the Hot Tub/Sauna/Massage Machine and/or evening visit to Lourdes to see the famous candlelight procession.

Saturday: Morning Yoga/Tai Chi/Pranhayama followed by a trip to the local street market at Bagnere's de Bigorre. Lunch followed by The Sensual Veil, workshop. After another sumptuous dinner a little time for rehearsal then the chance to perform for each other the things we have learned. May go on until quite late!!

Sunday: Yoga/TaiChi/Breathing exercises, breakfast and then the Saidi Stick Dance workshop, derived from an ancient Egyptian form of martial art. After gathering wood from the forest for the evening's dancing round the fire, we take lunch then spend the afternoon adorning our costumes or making masks and headdresses for the evening festivities. After yet another wonderful, delicious and seemingly never-ending dinner, we light the bonfire and dance like dervishes around the flames. Finish the day chilling in the hot tubs gazing at the stars.

Monday: Yoga/TaiChi/Pranhayama to start the day and after breakfast the Dance of the Goddess Isis, in which we learn to dance with the spectacular Isis Wings (provided). After a light lunch and feeling like Goddesses, we take the 10 minute drive to Bagneres de Bigorre for an afternoon at the world renowned Spa, Aquensis, where Eva will demonstrate some underwater dance movement. After dinner it's time for the big closing party with everyone celebrating what they have learned!

Tuesday: Breakfast and depart.
